Four New Mexico teachers are finalists for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching—an honor for outstanding math and science education.

San Juan County is studying a new freight rail connection with Interstate 40—funded by a $2 million federal grant and involving the Navajo Nation and the Federal Railroad Administration—to boost regional commerce.
