Good morning, Farmington. Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 10th of April.
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Department of Health study called The Weight of Our Children measured nearly 3,000 students at 40 schools in fall and found that 24% of third graders were obese—down from 28.6% during the pandemic—while 17% of kindergarteners were obese. The study also found that boys had higher obesity rates than girls and Native American students had the highest levels (linking these trends to poverty, food deserts, and limited safe play areas) as state officials partnered with local groups to expand healthy eating and activity programs.
