- ➤ New Mexico officials launched a statewide plan to improve rural healthcare access. The Health Care Authority is accepting proposals through June 4 to select a vendor to manage the new Center for Rural Health Sustainability (a resource hub for technical support and training) to help providers in underserved areas. - ➤ Exceptional Community Hospital opened in Farmington on Feb. 18 and is treating 50 patients daily with emergency care and short-term admissions for conditions like pneumonia and minor infections, following over 4+ years of planning and 3 years of construction to offer fast, patient-centered care.
