  • TXNM Energy, which owns PNM, announced Monday that Blackstone Infrastructure will acquire the company for $61.25 per share—PNM will remain headquartered in New Mexico with its local management and employees while electric rates continue to be set by the Public Regulation Commission.  KOAT

CRIME NEWS

  • A US District Court ruled in favor of Farmington officers after they opened fire on Robert Dotson in April when he answered the door armed following a mistaken domestic violence call—his family still plans to pursue pending claims under New Mexico law.  KOAT

CULTURE NEWS

  • Farmington’s annual Riverfest returns May 23-25 along the banks of the Animas River—offering music, food, art, and family fun. Mayor Duckett and D’Ann Waters of the River Reach Foundation discussed plans for the cherished event.  City of Farmington

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Graduation season is here and experts advise high school students to learn life skills such as budgeting, cooking and independent study to prepare for the future—APS recommends building confidence through events like induction week. Many schools in the area, including Farmington, are holding ceremonies today while integrating these lessons into their programs.  KOAT
