  • DNA People’s Legal Services in Farmington helps families affected by the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons crisis navigate legal steps such as filing for guardianship and obtaining a declaration of death—supporting low-income families on Navajo, Hopi and Jicarilla Apache reservations while serving about 4,000 people each year.  KOAT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Tuesday that three broadband projects funded by $6.8 million have connected over 500 locations in Cibola and McKinley counties—providing underserved areas with high-speed internet. The projects include a 50-mile fiber network linking 109 homes near Pine Meadows Ranches in Ramah and wireless systems serving 410 locations in Gallup and Thoreau.  KOAT
