Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 3rd of September.
Good morning, Farmington.
🏘️ Community
Farmington community members will celebrate National Day of Service on September 13 by volunteering on projects—such as a downtown cleanup, a stair climb for fallen firefighters and more—from 7:00 AM to noon.
Residents may also visit Aztec Ruins National Monument for an indigenous cultural festival with over 30 artists or get free new and replacement library cards at Farmington Public Library this September.
🏥 Health
The New Mexico Department of Health issued a public health order to let all residents get the COVID-19 vaccine—despite federal rules that limit it to those with severe conditions or to people 65 and older.
The order will help overcome pharmacy rules that could stop more people from getting vaccinated.
