ECONOMY NEWS

  • New satellite data showed that methane emissions from oil and gas production in the Permian Basin were much lower than in Texas—Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said state rules on flaring and waste worked to capture more natural gas. The lower methane releases added an extra $125M to state revenue.  KOAT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Fall has arrived in New Mexico and quaking aspens are turning yellow as cooler temperatures settle in the high country—this seasonal window lasts about a week. Visitors can plan drives on scenic byways like the Enchanted Circle and Sunspot routes to enjoy the vivid fall colors.  KOAT
