- ➤ Roadrunner Food Bank received a $225K donation from the AARP Foundation Tuesday as part of a $2M emergency relief campaign to address rising hunger; the funds will support food purchases for partner agencies amid a 38% increase in demand and a 45% decrease in federal commodity food. KOAT
- ➤ Farmington Chamber has opened Best of Farmington Awards nominations with winners to be honored at a Jan. 30 banquet at the Civic Center. Also, the polar plunge on Jan. 1 will support Theater Ensemble Arts, and the City is accepting art exhibit applicants until Jan. 31 (open to regional artists). Farmington Local News

- ➤ Range Cafe will close its Central Ave location at 320 Central Ave on Dec. 27 because the building may be sold + the business confirmed its other locations remain active and employees who wish to stay will be reassigned. KOAT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ New Mexico Gas Company said gas prices remain stable due to local supply from the San Juan and Permian Basins and expect January rates of about $4 per million BTU with lower prices in February; the company advises using energy-efficient appliances and sealing windows to keep bills low. KOAT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ NM Department of Health's Clarie Miller said that while December records the lowest suicide rates, the holiday season still brings stress; she noted a 9% rise last year amid funding cuts affecting food and housing. People are urged to check in on one another and call (988) for crisis help. KOAT
